Within the hour, he had complained of feeling tender and sore. By the next morning, he had tendrils growing from his back.
He's been kept in isolation, for the time being, at their father's insistence -- none of them have yet figured out what caused his brother's transformation, and it was agreed that it was probably best to keep physical exposure to a minimum, just in case.
But to find out what caused this, he has to study him more closely.
He enters the room with a tray of food, as usual -- this time, though, he's in his lab coat, wearing a pair of nitrile gloves.]
